Our Hens are fed a complete Organic Layer diet that is high in Calcium and Protein formulated for laying Hens. Their diet is supplemented with independent foraging, organic greens, vegetables from the kitchen garden, and mealworms.
 
*We follow USDA recommendations for collecting, cleaning, and storing our eggs. All of our hens are vaccinated before arriving at our small homestead. They are treated for parasites and quarantined before introduction to the rest of the flock. We strive daily to maintain the highest standards for biosecurity and disease prevention. We provide regular veterinary care (farm visits) for all animals at The Roost.
